Trouble Andrew>>Chase Money
Trouble Andrew is a bit funky in a punk sort of way but nonetheless can get the party started. Being today is Friday, that's the objective. On Tuesday 'Trouble' released Remixed + Remastered, which is exactly that, a re-tooled version of his original release from back in '05. This time around he has a little bit of help from his friends such as Santogold.

Titus Andronicus>>Fear and Loathing in Mahwah, New Jersey (Live)
Titus Andronicus are a band from New Jersey which are quickly climbing the buzz ladder with their high energy live act and their critically acclaimed debut album, The Airing of Grievances. This self description says all you need to know: Titus Andronicus is a rock and roll band from Glen Rock. In the beginning, there were only three people in the band. At one point, there were eleven people in the band. Right this second, there are five people in the band. Titus Andronicus take their name from a minor Shakespearean tragedy, not, as many people believe, from some sort of killer robot from the future. Titus Andronicus formed in the spring of 2005. Titus Andronicus' debut long player, "The Airing of Grievances" was released in April of 2008 by Troubleman Unlimited. Titus Andronicus have shared stages with such noted, world-famous luminaries as Yo La Tengo, No Age, Matt and Kim, Times New Viking, Holy Fuck, Foals, Los Campesinos, and Dr. Dog. Titus Andronicus practice at Ian's house. Titus Andronicus sometimes disagree on what is the right thing to do. Titus Andronicus like to scream and carry on at excessive volume. Titus Andronicus like songs which are fast more than songs which are slow. Titus Andronicus think slow songs are okay sometimes. Titus Andronicus never sing about love, only hate. Titus Andronicus have no hope for the future. Titus Andronicus believe only in nothingness. Everyone in Titus Andronicus was born to die. Titus Andronicus crave your approval but will settle for your utter disdain. Titus Andronicus can be reached at: TitusAndronicusTheBand@Gmail.com.
If you will be in the Columbus area tonight and not going to the U.S. vs. Mexico game you can check these guys out live at Wexner Center opening for Los Campesinos.

Are the Grammy Awards becoming irrelevant?
Thom Yorke and Radiohead perform at the Grammys-Reuters
I missed the Grammys last night but by most accounts there were some pretty cool performances. However, when I saw the list of winners I quickly came to the conclusion that the Grammy Awards might now be a nice prime time concert, but they have no clue. Coldplay's album wins the Best Rock Album of the year??? I could give you a list of 100 rock albums that were better than theirs.
I actually am a fan of Coldplay and particularly love some of their early albums. Though I respect they tried to go for a different sound a bit on Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, by no means was this their best effort and in no way was it the Best Rock Album of the year. Radiohead's In Rainbows took Best Alternative Album but easily would have been a better choice for Best Rock Album and I really don't like Radiohead. Bruce Springsteen's Magic also would have been a solid choice.
The Best Rock Album of the year might very well have been The Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow which in America unfortunately was the seldom heard album apparently. In an irony of sorts Elbow has been slotted to support Coldplay this summer during their North American tour. Check out a live performance by Elbow performing 'Grounds For Divorce' off The Seldom Seen Kid which is a much better song than 'Viva La Vida' which the Grammys dubbed Best Song...sigh.
Here is yet another example to support my theory that birds will one day rule the world...
Here is today's Vintage Monday, music video Cool Clip....
Billy Joel>>You May Be Right(Live from Long Island 1982)
Starting Mondays I thought it would be fun to find some cool old school clips and we have to start the first one with one of my all time favorites,
Billy Joel. One of the biggest misperceptions that some people have expressed to me over the years is that Billy Joel is some soft rock ballad singer when in reality if you ever have seen him live he can flat our rock! This classic clip comes from his homecoming concert back in 1982 and if this isn't good 'ol rockin' I don't know what is...In fact Billy is still rockin these days and will be at
US Bank Arena on March 10th along with Sir Elton John during a stop on their face 2 face tour.
