Here is today's Funky Friday music video Cool Clip....
P.O.S.>>Savion Glover (live)
This video is a little raw but that's what's makes it cool. This was shot in Columbus the other night (not slip) and it was of P.O.S. perforning his hit track, 'Savion Glover' off his new album, Never Better. It's got the perfect beat to get our weekend started during what looks like is going to be a cold and somewhat snow filled February weekend.

Ben Folds

Tonight at Cintas Center on Xavier's campus is a rare concert event as Ben Folds will be making a stop on his latest tour. Here is a clip from last fall in Chicago of Ben Folds performing with 'Coolness' favorite Missy Higgins.
Ah, gotta love kids today!

Boys hack Taco Bell intercom and spout obscenities at customers...story.
Did you catch the latest episode of Flight Of The Conchords!!??
Both songs from season 2 episode 5 were instant classics!

Alberta Cross>>Hard Breaks
I know many people are excited about the Bonnaroo lineup that includes Phish and Bruce among many others, however the best part of festivals like this is the chance to catch emerging bands like Alberta Cross. The New York based band has had more success in Europe but are now touring with The Airborne Toxic Event and will be in Tennessee at 'The Roo'. The closest they come to us is The Basement in Columbus on March, 1 with The Airborne Toxic Event though that show is already listed as sold out. With a sound that has been compared to Kings Of Leon and The Raconteurs they are surely worth a listen. They're first full length album should be out sometime this spring.

NO KISSING!

A London train station has banned kissing at its station and has put up signs to warn passengers about the new rule.
(This sounds more like something I could see happening in Cincinnati before a place like London...)
Here is a woman who was not too happy about missing her flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco to say the least... Hilarious!
Gotta give it up for this guy Ely Kim who danced to 100 different songs in 100 different locations and made a video from it all. Not sure about all his dance moves or his clothes. Nonetheless it's still fairly entertaining and the soundtrack isn't bad either.
Here is today's music video Cool Clip....
Good Old War>>Weak Man
Good Old War are a new indie-folk band from Langhorne Pennsylvania who have a soothing and soulful sound. They recorded and released their first album together last year called Only Way To Be Alone. They will be performing this year at the SXSW festival in Austin in March. Good Old War will be in Columbus at Newport Music Hall on March 30th supporting The Gaslight Anthem and Heartless Bastards which should be a good night of rock 'n roll.

Eagles Of Death Metal

One- they are not a metal band, two- they are hilarious, three-they can flat our rock and roll a little too. Lucky for us they bring their hot live act to the 20th Century Theater in Oakley tonight! Here they were on a recent episode of the Tonight Show...
***Cool Concert Alert***
Erin McCarley
If you are looking for a less raucous music setting but a good one nonetheless, by all accounts Erin McCarley will put on a fantastic show at the Southgate House tonight with her pop/rock sound with an alternative edge. Here was her recent performance on The Late Show with David Letterman...
Tonight's a great night when you're short on cash because it's... INDUSTRY NIGHT AT THE PATCH!

Here is today's NEW RELEASE TUESDAY music video Cool Clip....

Happy 1 year to Cincycoolnes.com!
Here was the first picture ever posted on the site...

Colin, Ashley, and Jim at the Vampire Weekend show.
Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of this little side project called Cincycoolness.com! I can't believe it has been a year already? It's been fun sharing the music, sports, and pop culture with everyone while trying to tie it all into living in Cincinnati. Thanks to everyone who visits the site on a regular basis, it's fun seeing the total number of site views growing and growing. I want to also give a very special thank you to Ashley, Kate, Jessica, Anthony and Joel who have all made awesome contributions to the site with their fun and informative features. The best part is there is so much potential for improvement to this site. Ideas and suggestions are always welcome! Here's to 'keeping it cool' and having fun. I can't wait to see the evolution of the site in year number 2!
If you ever get on the 'tron' at a sporting event and it's during the 'DANCE CAM' this is how you bring it!!
Mandy Moore is engaged to Ryan (don't call me Bryan) Adams!!??

Here is today's Vintage Monday, music video Cool Clip....
The Clash>>Should I Stay Or Should I Go (Live)
Monday's now find us looking back at some classic clips and this week we went with this one from The Clash. Craig Finn of The Hold Steady says it best in the final verse of their song 'Contructive Summer':
"Raise a toast to St. Joe Strummer. I think he might've been our only decent teacher. Getting older makes it harder to remember we are our only saviors. We're gonna build something this summer."
