Toast Messenging!!??

This product allows you to leave a message on a piece of toast!

Let's Talk Friday Night Lights!

*The new bass player Devin (seen above) in Landry's band is a great new character addition and her rendition of the Flaming Lips' She Don't Use Jelly was just precious.

*Loved the self loathing Tyra moment Landry had!

*I'm intrigued by the inter-tangling conflicts that arise between the Principal wife and Football coach husband.

*The way Mrs. Taylor's character described to the full backs parents why playing football mattered really hit home what sports should be and hopefully is all about more than we know.

*Watching the life stuggles the Street character has to deal with makes me realize that there are many real life 'Streets' out there that are among us everyday.

*Watching the Riggins 'highlight video' was surprisingly a touching moment.

Butch Walker>>Ships In A Bottle

Lately I've become hip to Butch Walker.  He is a a songwriter/musician who you may never have heard of but you have heard his work. After performing with some low level bands in the 80's, Walker has made a career for himself as a songwriter and a producer. He has written and produced records for such artists as Avril Lavigne, Family Force 5, Bowling for Soup, Pink, Lindsay Lohan, Lit, Simple Plan, Sevendust, Injected, The Donnas, Hot Hot Heat, American Hi-Fi, Default, Gob, Midtown, Puffy AmiYumi, Pete Yorn, Fall Out Boy, Quietdrive, All-American Rejects, SR-71, Rock Star Supernova, The Academy Is... and recently The Cab. Butch Walker's new solo album, Sycamore Meadows, was released November 11th. The video for "Ships in a Bottle" documents Butch walking on the grounds of his home in Southern California after it was destroyed by the wildfires of November 2007.

Wolf Parade>>Shine A Light

There is a top notch show in town tonight as Wolf Parade will be at the Southgate House!  This band formed in 2004 as a mosh of other band members in the Canadian indie scene.  They have found a home at Sub Pop and released their second full length on the label this year titled, At Mount Zoomer after their first album, Apologies to the Queen Mary received tons of critical acclaim as well as a Polaris Music Prize nomination. Using their high energy and overlaping synthetic sounds, they are well known for highly entertaining performances.

The Teenagers>>Make It Happen

The Teenagers are a French synthpop band that formed in 2005 kind of by mistake when a song they made called 'Homecoming' (meant to be a joke) became a hit.  Now calling London home, they are promoting their first full length album, Reality Check. Critics have noted their self-aware and intelligent lyrics and praised their lush, danceable pop music. Their quirky fashion sense is inspired by the eccentric East London style, and copied by their dedicated cult fan base!

When top recruits say this about your school...

"I sat my parents down, and I told them it can't get any better than Xavier," Weatherspoon said. "They realized Xavier puts players in the NBA, and we thought Xavier could put me in the NBA."--J.D. Weatherspoon (Newest Muskie)

Can it get much better?

Congrats on being Golden Brandon Phillips!

The Virgins>>Rich Girls

The Virgins are a new 5 member band from New York that bring back a little post-punk revival and new wave to the scene. Earlier this year, they were named the year's 'It' band at SXSW in Austin, and then released their first full length album on Atlantic records in July. Not only is this song catchy, the video is pretty good too!

HISTORY, GRACE, and CLASS-America at its finest...

"A little while ago, I had the honor of calling Senator Barack Obama to congratulate him. To congratulate him on being elected the next president of the country that we both love. In a contest as long and difficult as this campaign has been, his success alone commands my respect for his ability and perseverance. But that he managed to do so by inspiring the hopes of so many millions of Americans who had once wrongly believed that they had little at stake or little influence in the election of an American president is something I deeply admire and commend him for achieving. This is an historic election, and I recognize the special significance it has for African-Americans and for the special pride that must be theirs tonight."---John McCain

Here is today's music video Cool Clip....

Josh Rouse>>Quiet Town

Josh Rouse is a brilliant singer/songwriter from Nebraska, though he launched his music career in Tennessee.  Often flying under the radar in the land of singer/songwriters, Rouse has been able to stand out with his soothing sounds and introspective lyrics brought on by his traveling experiences.  The mood of this song seemed fitting now that this amazing election is over.

These talented kids from the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta have made a huge name for themselves with their catchy tune 'You Can Vote However You like.'  Regardless of how you vote today, seeing this is a breath of fresh air in a politcal climate that sometimes is so polluted it's hard to breath.  If you haven't seen these kids yet, check them out, and vote today... however you like...

The Hold Steady/Drive-by Truckers>>Burnin' For You

I still don't think the group of 12 of us that went down to Louisville to see the opening night of the "Rock and Roll Means Well" tour have completely recovered.  It was a great night and toward the end the lead signer of the Truckers came on stage with The Hold Steady to help perform the Blue Oyster Cult classic, 'Burnin' For You.'  Someone got good, steady footage, and it is definitely worth sharing.
