I go into this post assuming that you were among the 300-odd spectacular people who enjoyed the humor and sound of
We Are Scientists last night at the
Southgate House, but if you are one of those unlucky few, know this: You missed one (
picture this) slow-burning firecracker of a show. No joke,
meus amigos, a mid-major firecracker.
Both opening bands were foot-tapping and head-rocking. Cincinnati's Bad Veins and Brooklyn's Oxford Collapse built a solid stage of energy. I look forward to seeing Bad Veins at their next show Thursday, 21 August, and maybe I'll run into Oxford Collapse again one day.
